History

The story began in 2005, while we were driving our sheep to our wool shed in Estancia La Rosa, located 70 kms west of the town of Camarones, in the Province of Chubut, Argentina. As we rode on horseback, we felt the power of the winds under the grid lines – TRANSPA & TRANSENER.  That’s what prompted us to start the project: besides harvesting wool, we should harvest this amazing wind!
This is how we started the development of a 24.15 MW wind farm that has been

generating electricity since November 2018. This great achievement motivates us to continue developing energy projects, contributing to the economic and social development of the region where we live.
Our family´s properties in Patagonia were established by our great grandfather and great uncle, who settled in Patagonia in the 1880’s . We feel that we follow their steps by innovating and looking for new frontiers, continuing a pioneering legacy.

Garayalde Wind Farm

Together with PanAmerican Energy Group we completed the construction of a 24.15 MW wind farm that provides energy for over 20,000 homes, as a result of a contract granted through the Renovar 1.0 government sponsored Renewable Energy tender.
